years ago and it was only 6 miles long (now it's 9.8 miles end-to-end). I
wanted to checkout the new bridge so I thought this seemed a good time to
give it a go. Started and ended at the Kirkwood parking lot. Very foggy and
cool at the beginning. Very few trail users 5:45am on a Sunday, little car
traffic as well. Trail traffic picked up around 9am and stayed busy for the
duration. Stopped at my truck to refuel/get water after each 19.6 loop. I saw
many rabbits, lots of birds, a couple deer, and a possum. People sightings: Rob Z, Keith & Kathy O, Lisa S, David G and somehow missed Stephen S. (fatigue I think). Love the new bridge, took one pic each time I crossed it. |
